The Qatari Police SC team defeated today Al Kamil Wal Wafi of Oman by three clean sets (25-13, 25-20, 25-20) in its first match in the 38th GCC Volleyball Men's Club Championship in Bahrain until March 13th.
The Qatari team will play its second match tomorrow (Monday) against Al Qadisiyah of Kuwait, then it will play its third and final match in the first round of the championship next Wednesday against Al Ahli of Bahrain.
Four teams including Police SC, participates in the tournament which are: Al Kamil Wal Wafi of Oman, and Al Qadisiyah of Kuwait, in addition to Al Ahli of Bahrain (host) and the Al Nasr of Emirates.
The delegation of the police team includes 13 players: Borislav Georgiev, Salami Moses, John Shigbo, Renan Ribeiro, Muhammad Khozbat, Ahmed Al Kaabi, Naji Mahmoud, Nader Abu Bakr, Oliver Fino, Muhammad Ismail, Mahmoud Essam, Othman Abdulwahid, and Wollner Enrique, in addition to the technical and administrative staff of the team.
It is noteworthy that the Police SC won the title of the 37th edition of this championship, which was held in the State of Kuwait, after its victory over Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia by three clean sets.
