Qatari volleyball club Police SC won its second successive victory in the 38th GCC Men's Club Volleyball Championship, after beating Kuwait's Al Qadisiyah 3-1 the first (preliminary) stage of the competition currently being held in Bahrain.

Police SC team succeeded in returning to the match strongly after losing the first half, by 21-25, to outperform the competition by winning the second, third and fourth sets, respectively, by 25-20, 25-22 and 25-13.

Police SC will play its third and final match in the first round of the championship on Wednesday, against Al Ahli of Bahrain.

Four teams, including Police SC, are participating in the tournament which are: Al Kamil Wal Wafi of Oman, and Al Qadisiyah of Kuwait, in addition to Al Ahli of Bahrain (host) and the Al Nasr of Emirates.

According to the draw, the matches of the second round of the championship (semi-finals) will be combined, with the leader of the first stage (preliminary) and the fourth place, meanwhile, the second-place team will be paired with third place, with the final match taking place next Saturday.

Police SC won the title of the 37th edition of this championship, which was held in the State of Kuwait, after its victory over Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia by three sets to none.
