Qatar Olympic Committee Reveals Details of 2022 Beach Games

The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) held a press conference on Wednesday to unveil all organisational and technical measures that have been taken ahead of its second edition of the 2022 Beach Games, which will be held from 19th to 25th March at Cultural Village Katara.

The 2022 Beach Games Director, Rashid Adiba gave a welcoming speech, reviewing the objectives of the Games, participating teams, organisational and administrative measures being taken ahead of these games.

On Wednesday's press conference, which is attended by members of the organising committee and media representatives, Adiba said "By hosting this community event, the QOC aims at taking the sport community to new grounds and building up standards of physical and social health for local society individuals".

"Beach games lovers and amateurs have been invited by the QOC to register their names and details via a link set up on the QOC official website and social media accounts, that to get confirmation for participation in the Games."

"Approximately a total of 560 to 600 participants (Men and Women) will be competing in five beach sports for individuals and teams including football, volleyball , 3x3 basketball, swimming marathon and Karate." Added Adiba.

The QOC Beach Games is a community activity that will help to promote the games inside Qatari society, to keep the country's unparalleled success going on after hosting the 2019 ANOC Beach Games in Doha.

The tournament is one of the community events and activities organized by the QOC annually for all individuals to take part in, encouraging society to greater standards of health and physical fitness.

A number of educational and cultural programs are campaigning together for sustainability throughout (Water is Life) to serve the community and urge every single citizen and resident to preserve Qatar's environment and tourist beaches coinciding with the Games.
