Qatar's swimmers continue to shine at inaugural Arab Championship

Team Qatar's swimmers continued their impressive run at the inaugural Arab swimming championship of all age groups (25 meters) on Monday taking place in Abu Dhabi until October 27.

Team Qatar won six medals on Monday, including two gold medals and 4 silver medals, to raise up their medal tally to 15 medals.

Qatar's Mohammed Mahmoud won the gold medal in the 50m butterfly for age group ( 16-18 years), as his teammate Omar Hassan clinched the second gold medal in the 400m medley of the same age group.

On the same track of victory, Tamim Mohammed clinched the silver medal in the 50m butterfly for age group (14 -15 years), while Qatar's team team of Abdullah Ahmed, Abdullah Al Khalidi, Tamim Mohammed and Ali Al Noaimi won the silver medal in the 4x50 medley for age group ( 14-15 year).

The third silver medal was achieved by Abdulaziz Al Obaidili in the 400m medley for 19 years and over as Qatar's of Yousef Hassan, Karim Salah, Omar Hassan and Mohammed Mahmoud clinched the fourth silver medal in the 4x200m freestyle for age group ( 16-18 year).

The championship brings together 174 swimmers from 16 countries.
