Al Mohannadi Re-elected President of Arab Table Tennis Association

President of the Qatari Table Tennis Association and Asian Table Tennis Union Khalil Al Mohannadi, who is also the first vice president of the International Table Tennis Federation, succeeded in retaining the presidency of the Arab Table Tennis Association after he unanimously won the confidence of the General Assembly of the Arab Table Tennis Association at the elections hosted by the Moroccan city of Marrakesh, during the meeting of the General Assembly of the Association.

After Al Mohannadi's retention of the presidency of the Arab Table Tennis Association in recognition by the members of the Arab General Assembly of the great achievements that Al-Mohannadi has made over many years in the service of the game, whether at the Arab, Asian or international levels.

The new consensual formation of the Arab Association's Board of Directors includes Khalil Al Mohannadi as Chairman, and his five deputies: Sheikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz (Bahrain), Abdullah bin Mukhallaf (Sultanate of Oman), Jamal Al Zinani (Tunisia), Saeed Koraytem (Egypt), and Hardah Baram (Iraq). The members of the board of directors were also chosen by acclamation, and included Khaled Al Khudari (Kuwait), Wael Nour Al Din (Lebanon), Issam Al Sunini (Yemen), Sawsan Mustafa (Syria), and Mohamed Al Dalou (Palestine).

The Association's Board of Directors is expected to name the heads and members of the committees emanating from the Association in its next session after the Arab Association have nominated the heads and members of the committees.

The heads of the Arab unions of the game congratulated Khalil Al Mohannadi for his selection again at the head of the Arab Table Tennis Association, considering that his continuation will contribute to the further development of the game in the various Arab unions, making it a serious competitor for the presence on the continental and international podiums.

For his part, Khalil Al Mohannadi expressed his happiness for the consensual atmosphere that surrounded the meeting of the General Assembly of the Arab Association, which was held in Marrakesh, and said that all the indicators that appeared during this meeting call for optimism about a brighter future for Arab table tennis.

He added: "I think that retaining this position is a confirmation of the great confidence enjoyed by the Qatari administrative cadres, not only at the Arab level, but also at the Asian and international levels, and honoring me to continue at the head of the Arab Table Tennis Federation for a new term is the least that Qatar deserves in general, not just Khalil Al Mohannadi because Qatar has provided a lot for the Arab and international table tennis in recent years until it became the undisputed home of world table tennis."
