Qatar's Beach Handball Team Announces Squad for 8th Asian Championship

The Qatar Handball Association has announced the list of men's beach handball squad participating in the 8th Asian Beach Handball Championship, scheduled for March 22-31, on Kish Island, Iran, which qualifies for the 2022 Beach Handball World Championships in Greece in June.

The list included 19 players: Ahmed Nader Naseem, Abdul Rahman Al Abdullah, Hamdi Al Nouri, Amin Nour Al Din, Mustafa Amir (Al Duhail), Rashid Youssef and Hani Marwan Kakhi (Al Sadd), Marwan Ali Sassi, Mahmoud Zaki, Rayan Laribi, Anis Abdel Razzaq Zawawi (Al Arabi), Moatasem Abdel Wahed, Amir Noureddine, Sayed Ali Qinawy (Al Gharafa), Mohamed Al Sousi, Farouk Kolo (Al Rayyan), Ahmed El Miniawy, Ahmed Abdel Haq (Al Wakrah), and Mohamed Hassan (Qatar SC).

The top two teams from the championship directly qualify for the World Championships in Greece.

The Qatari beach handball team seeks to maintain the Asian title that it won in the last five editions in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019, to qualify for the World Championships for the sixth time in a row, after ranked tenth in the 2010 edition in Turkey, seventh place in 2012 in Oman, third place in 2014 in Brazil, third place in 2016 in Hungary, and ninth place in 2018 in Russia.

In 2019, Qatar team was crowned the title of the 7th Asian Beach Handball Championship in Weihai, China.
