QNA

Al Duhail booked its place in the semi-finals of the 50th HH the Amir Cup football season 2021-2022 by defeating Al Sailiya 4-1 to set up a date with Al Sadd, on March 14th.

Al Duhails Belgian defender Toby Alderfeld opened the score at the 12th minute, and his colleague Ismail Mohamed consolidated the result by scoring the second goal at the 34th minute, before Abdul Rahman Fahmy added the third goal at the 58th minute, and Karim Boudiaf scored the fourth goal in the 76th minute, while the Congolese substitute Walter Bwalya scored Al Sailiya's only goal in the 55th minute.

The match came at a good technical level during the first half, with a clear advantage for the Al Duhail, which managed to tighten control over the midfield, played with great effectiveness in the front lines, and relied on the axes in the middle to disturb Al Sailiyas defense through the depth sometimes and through the parties at other times, and managed to threaten Al Sailiya goalkeeper Abdul Rahman Abdulaziz on several occasions, taking advantage of some of the lapses of Al Sailiya players in controlling the ball.

Later today, Al Gharafa will face Qatar SC, where the winner will face Al Wakrah which beat Al Rayyan on penalties 5-4 on Saturday, after a draw in the original time with three goals each.
