The Qatar national football team beat its Bulgarian counterpart 2-1 in an international friendly match that brought the two teams together on Saturday at Education City Stadium, as part of preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Akram Afif gave Al Annabi the lead in the 27th minute from the penalty mark, Boualem Khoukhi added the second goal in the 74th minute, while Kiril Despodov scored Bulgaria's only goal in the 60th minute.
Earlier in the day, Croatia and Slovenia tied 1-1 in their international friendly at Education City Stadium.
The four teams will reappear next Tuesday, where the Croatian team will meet its Bulgarian counterpart, whilst Qatar will play Slovenia.
