Qatar Society of Engineers (QSE) launches on Sunday the first Qatar International Sports Engineering Conference and Exhibition, organized under the patronage of HE Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, from March 27 to 29 at the Qatar National Convention Center.
The opening was attended by Director of Asset Management and Projects at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Eng. Abdulrahman Al Maliki, on behalf of HE the Minister of Sports and Youth, Chairman of the Qatar Society of Engineers Eng. Khalid Al Nasr, and Deputy Director-General of Technical Services at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Eng. Ghanim Al Kuwari.
The opening was also attended by representatives of the event's strategic partners, sponsors, attendees of the conference and visitors of the exhibitions.
Qatar International Sports Engineering Conference and Exhibition, the first of its kind in Qatar and the region, features nearly 15-panel discussions and an accompanying specialized exhibition over three days, covering all topics related to sports from an engineering perspective, the relationship of Qatar Society of Engineers with various sports federations and its vision on what is related to sports engineering, whether at the level of implemented projects for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 or other sports events taking place in the country.
The conference hosts a number of Qatari and international companies working in the field of sports services and startups in the sports sector and sports engineering to present their projects and ideas to the public.
More than 30 exhibitors from different sports and engineering sectors will participate in the exhibition, most importantly are the strategic partners, sponsors, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA), as well as the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Qatar University, University of Doha for Science and Technology, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Texas A&M University Qatar, and Paris Saint-Germain Club, in addition to a number of private companies involved in the event.
Qatar Society of Engineers organizes Qatar International Sports Engineering Conference and Exhibition in cooperation with Expotale event management (Executive Partner), and with the participation of strategic partners: the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Qatar Olympic Committee, Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Aspire Zone Foundation. The event is sponsored by Qatar Airways (the official carrier), Vodafone (telecommunications sponsor), and Al Kass Channel ( Media Partner), and University of Doha for Science and Technology (Academic Sponsor).
