The competitions of Nishan Vodafone Tournament and Festival continued in style at the Lusail International Shooting Complex with participation of 500 shooters.
This community tournament is organised under the patronage of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) President, H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, with the participation of more than 500 competitors in both the amateur and professional events.
Mohammed Ahmed Al Rumaihi led the standings of men’s professional shotgun event with 528 points ahead of Khalifa Mohamed Abdullah Al Attiyah in the second place with 489 points while Msaoud Saleh Al Athba took the third place with 467 points.
In the women professional shotgun event, Team Qatar star, Reem Al Sharshani took the first place with 488 points while Sarah Gholam and Amna Ali Al Shabrawi settled in the second and third places respectively.
On the other hand, Badr Kefah Al Yousef led the standings of Men’s amateur shotgun event with 445 points ahead of Rashid Ghanim Al Hajiri in the second place while Hernan Fernandez took the third places.
In the women’s amateur event, Ghada Al Ghamdi, Aysha Al Sada and Enad Ibrahim Al Faoudi occupied the top three places respectively.
The tournament aims to discover the most talented elements in the game, develop their skills and helping clubs and national teams to achieve quantum leap in the game and promoting this sport among citizens and residents whose rate of participation in the game rises sharply year by year.
