Doha, Qatar- Dahlan Al Hamad, Vice President of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) hailed the support of the Qatari officials to the 2019 World Athletics Championships to be held in Doha from September 27 to October 06.
Al Hamad who is also Vice President and Director General of the IAAF World Athletics Championships Local Organising Committee lauded the cooperation of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) with the Organising Committee of the event.
He also stressed that without such a great support “We were not to announce that we are ready to host the world championships a year before its beginning".
The Orgainsing Committee announced in a press conference held last week that Doha is ready to host the world championships.
