Spanish coach and manager of the Belgian national team Roberto Martinez said that the magic of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 can be felt once he arrived in the host country, the state of Qatar which spared no effort to embark on the preparation for FIFA as requested to manifest the events in an incredible way.
During FIFA Workshop for World Cup Qualifiers hosted by Doha, the Spanish football coach said that every time he visits Qatar he feels that he is eagerly awaiting this tournament to kick off, adding that he felt the development of the state of Qatar over his many visits to Doha over the past three years. He added that those different visits showed the progress being made on all fronts, especially at the infrastructure and stadium levels.
With regard to how familiar the Belgian team is with its Croatian counterpart, Roberto Martinez Montoliu said that the matter is theoretical, notwithstanding this does not mean that the Moroccan and Canadian teams are unknown to him. He elucidated that African football is evolving based on great talents, adding that there are five African players who have become a vital part of the Belgium team, for Canada, is the best team in the CONCACAF qualifiers and outmaneuvered the USA and Mexico in the qualifiers, therefore the task will not be easy whatsoever.
"During the World Cup, we encounter a cohort of various football teams with multiple football cultures, so we should be ready taking into our account that we play the three matches within the groups without thinking about the next phase or burning those phases," he affirmed.
The Spanish coach concluded his remarks by saying that he owns a premium group of players who have accomplished striking results in recent years, which led him to lead the monthly classification issued by the International Federation for a long time, but this does not mean that access to the advanced roles is guaranteed, but rather is contingent upon the extent of the response to development and competition at the high level.
