Qatar Camel Mzayen Club has participated today in The International Camel Organization (ICO) Conference amid wide Arab and international participation.

President of Qatar Camel Mzayen Club Hamad Al Athba has led the Qatari delegation to the conference which comes as an extension of the strenuous efforts of the club to protect natural environment and develop wildlife and livestock. The event combined a host of experts and professionals from the state of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Sudan, USA, Germany and ICO which has 105 member states. The conference featured the scientific and technical perspectives to further discuss and determine the standards pertaining to camel safety and methods of protection and compare the scientific and technical notes on curbing effects of cosmetic surgery on camels and define the tampering concept in the sector.

Qatar Camel Mzayen Club constitutes a bright and distinctive sign in the history of local and Gulf auctions, as it intends to support and encourage all efforts and activities related to camel grooming, which promote and contribute to raising awareness among owners and the community, in addition to conducting research and studies, and cooperating with relevant regional and international bodies, and organizations.

In addition, the conference came with the recommendations that would be deemed as rule of dealing in the countries that are primarily interested in this sector, and those countries that organize camel festivals. The recommendations are summarized in five points, the first one pertains to the scientific researches, including support and encourage the studies and researches in the scientific fields associated with tampering, while the second point is related to camel safety and the establishment of mechanisms and methods of protecting camel safety.

The third point is fixated on tamper detection and admonish camel related companies to innovate modern devices that would essentially facilitate tamper detection process, while the fourth point is related to the educational courses and holding guidance programs and sessions for camel owners to avoid resorting to tampering processes in order to win in camel competitions, in addition to the significance of adhering to the ethics of competitions.

Finally, the fifth point focuses on the strong media role, and the importance of the great role that the media can play in the process of disseminating the awareness in the field of camel competitions.
