Team Qatar has fought tooth and nail to win a bronze medal on the final day of the West Asian U-20 Fencing Championship, which wrapped up in Jordan on Wednesday.
Fencers Jaber Al Fadaaq, Meshaal Al Qahtani, Mohamed Al Oulan and Mohamed Al Hazaa secured bronze in the Men’s epee event, taking Qatar's medal tally to seven, including two gold, two silver and three bronze.
Eleven Team Qatar fencers battled hard in both Epee and Foil events, they did fantastic fencing to claim these seven medals and paved the way for greater achievements to come in the future.
The championship brought together 150 fencers representing 11 countries, namely Qatar, Palestine, Oman, Kuwait, Syria, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq, Lebanon and hosts Jordan.
