AFC Launches AFC Social Responsibility Strategy 2023-2027

QNA

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) inaugurated the AFC's Social Responsibility Strategy for 2023-2027.

The landmark strategy aligns with those of the AFC's Member Associations (MAs), Regional Associations (RAs) and international partners and stakeholders in that it has the collective aspiration to enrich lives and empower marginalized communities across the Continent, the AFC said in a statement on its website.

The AFC Social Responsibility Strategy 2023-2027 further enhances the Confederation's long-standing social responsibility programs and will serve as a blueprint for the AFC, its MAs and RAs to embark on stronger, more effective and transformative initiatives.

Anchored to the values of Excellence, Unity, Inspire and Protect', the strategy has been designed to reflect the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to ensure programs are aligned with global best practices.

Furthermore, it acts as an operational plan to support the AFC in carrying out effective and efficient management and administration that will enable the seamless delivery of social responsibility programs.

When fully operational, the strategy will enable MAs and RAs to deliver high-quality, sustainable and impactful programs, guided by seven definitive goals, a comprehensive timeline of yearly deliverables as well as a clear, concise roadmap of the changes the AFC seeks to bring about through the beautiful game.

Above all, the introduction of the strategy reinforces the AFC's commitment of leaving no one behind in leveraging on football to create a positive impact among the most vulnerable communities in Asia.
