This week’s Big Tour event at the Qatar Equestrian Tour - Longines Hathab Season Six, witnessed a new winner at the Qatar Equestrian Federation (QEF) Indoor Arena.

With Mohammed Khalifa Albaker emerging victorious in the first three rounds, Sheikh Khalifa Al Thani reigned supreme in the fourth round, after he completed a flawless routine with his nine-year-old bay gelding Ierland VDL.

The error-free time of 68.96 seconds was enough to give Sheikh Khalifa his first Big Tour win of the season as all the other participants committed faults during the challenging round. Salmeen Sultan Al Suwaidi, who rode 13-year-old Fiori LS, took the second position with a time of 59.42 as he dropped the rails on four occasions. Also making four faults during the round, Faleh Suwead Al Ajami astride Ambre De Beaufour clocked 61.22 to take the third position.

Entering the fourth round as leader in the standings, Albaker – riding Verona – had to contend with the sixth position as he clocked 64.62 after making four faults.

Badr Al Darwish, President, of Qatar Equestrian Federation & Modern Pentathlon Federation (QEFMP), and Longines Hathab Organising Committee Chairman crowned the winners of Big Tour.

Earlier, Abdulaziz Ahmad Al Mohannadi partnered with eight-year-old Peppercrack K to clinch Open Class victory after completing the course in 51.59 in a flawless manner.

Riding 10-year-old Hurry Up, Mohammed Abdulla Juma secured the second position with an error-free round in 52.43. Abdulrahman Eisa Al Bukhari with Irschi claimed the third position, completing the round in 54.33 without any fault.

Experienced rider Cyrine Cherif, who won the last round in Open Class, finished in the sixth spot with Brennus Villelongue after a faultless round of 62.88.
