President of the Qatar Boxing Federation (QBF) Sheikh Fahad bin Khalid Al Thani (centre) recently visited Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation (KBF).
The QBF President met top KBF officials in Astana and discussed ways of cooperation between the two countries to boost the sport. The development of youth from a grassroots level through an annual plan was also discussed. Sheikh Fahad also met Kazakhstan’s former Olympic and world champion Serik Sapiyev.
During his visit, the QBF President also visited sports facilities in Astana and Shymkent and was introduced to the Kazakhstan boxing development process.
