Qatari rider Hamad Al Sahouti yesterday finished in the sixth position at the ninth race of this season's Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup, held on the sidelines of the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia.
At the end of two races held over the weekend at the Sepang International Circuit, Al Sahouti sits in the fifth spot in the overall standings.
Yesterday, Al Sahouti clocked a time of 33'35.631 in the 13-lap race which covered a distance of 72.059 kilometres. He registered a top speed of 128.7kmh and was 17.720 seconds off race winner and Championship leader Hakim Danish of Malaysia. The 17-year-old rider had finished Race 1 of the Malaysia round in the eighth position on Saturday.
