The Organizing Committee of the 9th edition of the "GCC Sports Tournament for Universities and Higher Education Institutes" announced today the opening of registration for Qatari and Gulf universities to participate in this tournament, which will be held at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) during the period from 4 to 10 February next year.
It is expected that the course will witness the participation of more than 20 universities and educational institutions from various countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Registration for the course will be divided into 4 stages, extending until November 26.
The tournament will be held in competitions for football, volleyball, padel, table tennis, swimming, and athletics (Running Track).
For his part, the Manager of the Tournament, Faisal Al Mohannadi, confirmed in a press statement that the organizing committee continues to work to finalize all preparations and arrangements for organizing and all logistical matters.
Al Mohannadi indicated that the door is open for all Gulf universities to apply and register to participate in this exceptional edition, which comes after the end of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, adding that Hamad Bin Khalifa University will provide all facilities for the success of the tournament.
