Kuwait beat the UAE 1-0 this evening in the second round of group stage games at Al-Minaa Olympic Stadium in Basra, Iraq.
A single goal from Ahmed Al-Dhefiri in the 93rd minute was enough for Kuwait to claim all three points on offer.
The result puts Iraq into third place in Group B on 3 points, while the UAE sit at the bottom on 0 points.
In the next round, the UAE will take on group leaders Qatar in their final group stage match on Friday night, as Kuwait take on Bahrain.
Qatar will take on Bahrain tonight in the other group B match of the evening at 19:15 Doha time.
