The wait is finally over and the 2023 IHF Men’s World Championship is now ready to start, with nine venues in Poland and Sweden ready to welcome the 32 teams that will be participating in the competition.
Teams have already started to reach their respective venues, with the grand start and a superb opening ceremony being prepared in Katowice, Poland, where the hosts will take on reigning Olympic champions France in a crunch battle that will shape their future in the competition.
With 112 matches set to be played at Poland/Sweden 2023, the schedule is easy to follow so that you won’t miss any of your favourite team’s games.
We have already talked to some of the teams involved, the first of which is Poland. The co-hosts have been preparing for the tournament since 2015, when their bid to host has been successful and have plenty at stake, with all the country behind them. As the Spodek Arena in Katowice will be sold-out, Poland’s coach, Patryk Rombel, talks about being “humble and excited” to play in the competition.
