Iraq beat Yemen 5-0 this evening in the last round of group stage games at Al-Minaa Olympic Stadium in Basra, Iraq to qualify for the competition’s semi-finals.
Goals from Mustafa Nadhim (40’), Amjad Attwan (64’), Ayman Hussein (P-74’, 75’) and Hussein Ali Al-Saedi (88’) were enough for the side to take all three points on offer.
Following tonight’s result, Iraq sit top of Group A on 7 points, with Oman in second on goal difference.
Tomorrow night, Bahrain will take on Kuwait and Qatar will take on the UAE in the final Group B matches.
