Oman beat Saudi Arabia 2-1 this evening in the last round of group stage games at Al-Minaa Olympic Stadium in Basra, Iraq to qualify for the competition’s semi-finals.
Oman got ahead in the 34th minute with a goal from Al Mandhar Al Alawi, but a goal from Turki Al-Ammar in the 41st minute brought the game level. However, in the 84th minute, Harib Al-Saadi scored the winner for his side, and Oman took all three points on offer.
Following tonight’s result, Oman sit in second place in Group A on 7 points, with Iraq in first on goal difference.
Tomorrow night, Bahrain will take on Kuwait and Qatar will take on the UAE in the final Group B matches.
