Al Sadd, Qatar SC to feature in King Salman Club Cup

 The participation of Al Sadd and Qatar SC in the “King Salman Club Cup” tournament has been confirmed by the Qatar Football Association (QFA), which wrote to the Arabian Football Federation.

The event was rebranded as the “King Salman Club Cup” beginning in 2023, with the stated goal of fostering the growth of football across the Arab world and the region.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Thani, a member of the Executive Office of QFA, and Mansour Al Ansari, Secretary-General of QFA, as well as a representative of QFA and a representative of the two teams, will be present at the draw ceremony in Riyadh today.

In all, 37 teams from Asia and Africa will compete in the event, which will feature preliminary qualifying rounds and finals hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the cities of Abha, Al Baha, and Taif.

Teams from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Djibouti, Sudan, Syria, Somalia, Iraq, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Comoros, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania and Yemen will participate in the tournament.
