Qatar SC pulled off a creditable goalless draw against Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien in the first leg of their first qualifying round of King Salman Club Cup at the Stade Taieb Mhiri in Sfax, Tunisia on Monday night.

Both teams fought it out right throughout the match. They adopted a cautious approach in the first half, but the second session saw exciting action.

Qatar SC striker Sebastian Soria hit a powerful shot in the 77th minute, but Sfaxien goalkeeper Aymen Dahmen saved it.

Sfaxien created a dangerous chance in the 84th minute. However, Qatar SC goalkeeper Sataa Al Abbasi thwarted it and both sides shared points.

The return leg will be held in Doha on April 11, 2023, at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium of Qatar Sports Club.

The winner on aggregate will join Group A, also featuring Esperance de Tunis, Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia and Iraq’s Al Shorta.
