Sheikh Joaan Attends General Assembly Meeting of International Judo Federation

HE President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, attended the opening of the meeting of the Ordinary General Assembly of the International Judo Federation (IJF), held on Thursday at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel.

The opening session was also attended by IJF President Marius Vizer, President of the Qatar Taekwondo, Judo & Karate Federation (QTJKF) Khalid bin Hamad Al Attiyah, IJF members, heads and representatives of continental federations and national federations that are members of the IJF.

HE QOC President Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, in a speech to the IJF Ordinary Congress opening session welcomed the attendees, wishing success for the meeting, and the conclusion of decisions that would advance the march of this sport in the next stage.

For his part, IJF President Marius Vizer, thanked the State of Qatar for hosting the World Judo Championship (Doha 2023), the IJF Ordinary Congress, and for the great potential it harnessed to make this version of the tournament a success.

During the session, the topics on the agenda were reviewed and discussed, and the necessary decisions were taken in this regard.
