Paris Saint Germain star Lionel Messi’s sporting agent and father, Jorge Messi, denied all rumors regarding his son having agreed to a deal with any club as of the moment, as reported by BeIN Sports.
Jorge, in a statement, assured that son Lionel made no agreement with any club, and that the final decision will be made at the end of the season.
The PSG star has not “signed, agreed or verbally agreed,” added Jorge, before branding all news saying otherwise as “fake news using Leo’s name.”
His statements came after Agence France Presse (AFP) reported earlier today, Tuesday, that Lionel Messi had reached an agreement to join a Saudi club, quoting a “source close to the negotiations.”
A month ago, Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano said that Saudi club Al Hilal had made an official bid for Messi with a salary worth “more than €400m/year.”
