Al Rayyan President HE Sheikh Ali bin Saud bin Ahmed Al Thani and Vice President Ali Salem Afifa resigned from their posts, the club announced yesterday.
Sheikh Ali assumed the presidency of Al Rayyan Club after his election in August 2019 in a supplementary period for one year following the resignation of the Council of H E Sheikh Saud bin Khalid Al Thani, before he was re-elected in August 2020 until 2024.
“Al Rayyan Sports Club and all its affiliates and loyal fans appreciate their efforts and the efforts of their team. We wish them continued success,” Al Rayyan said in a statement on its twitter handle.
