Team Qatar athlete Hammdy Al Ameen clinched silver medal in the men’s high jump on Tuesday in the 15th edition of Arab Games 2023 , which is running from 5th to 15th July in Algeria’s capital city of Algiers.
Qatar’s Al Ameen jumped 2,16m to settle in the event’s second place as his teammate Asman Ashraf advanced to the men’s400m finals after secured a time of 45.97.
Most notably, 115 Qatari athletes are competing in 16 sport disciplines, handball, volleyball, basketball, swimming, Triathlon (cycling only), athletics, gymnastics, chess, fencing, sailing, boxing, (goal ball and para-athletics), Karate, judo and badminton.
