Al Rayyan have signed attacking midfielder Gabriel Pereira on a transfer deal from American side New York City, the QNB Stars League side announced yesterday.
The 21-year-old is considered an important addition for the Lions, who are looking to inject young players to the squad.
The Brazilian played 22 matches in the Major League Soccer (MLS) for his side in the last season, registering six goals and three assists.
Al Rayyan, looking to bounce back after a dismal 2022-23 season, also signed Spanish forward Rodrigo Moreno from Leeds United and Brazilian midfielder Thiago Mendes earlier this month.
The Leonardo Jardim-coached side is currently undergoing an overseas training camp in Austria which will continue till August 7.
