QATAR CHAMPIONS LOOK FOR GLORY IN ASIAN PARA GAMES

JAKARTA, Indonesia, October 9 , 2018 -  Qatar champions put on an impressive performance on Monday at the prestigious 2018 Asian Para Games, taking place in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta.

In the Men's 800m T34, Qatar's Mohammed Al Kubaisi claimed the fifth place, while his teammate Nasser Al Sohooti was knocked out in the first round of the Men's Discus Throw F57.

On the other hand, Qatar's goalball team suffered a 5-15 defeat at the hands of their Iranian counterparts on Monday.

In Tuesday's competitions, Qatar's Sara Masood will compete in the  Women's shot put F33 on Monday, while her teammate, Mohammed Al Kubaisi, will play in the Men's 100m.

Aiming to celebrate 'Unity in Diversity',  the 2018 Asian Para Games are bringing together 3000 athletes with various disabilities from 43 Asian nations, competing in 18 sporting events.
