The Qatar Football Association (QFA) successfully orchestrated a comprehensive two-day workshop for a group of 30 local match observers and coordinators.

The workshop, held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Doha, successfully wrapped up on Wednesday, while QFA Secretary General Mansour Al Ansari presiding over the certificate distribution ceremony. Notable attendees included lecturers Ali Hammoud Al Nuaimi, Ali Sheer, and Abdullah Jassim.

During the workshop, theoretical lectures were carried out, focusing on the multifaceted responsibilities of observers and coordinators, in addition to the intricacies of inputting match reports into the federation's electronic system. The participants also delved into the scope of coordinators' authority and the techniques of harmonizing among various stakeholders to ensure smooth match management. The attendees were also subjected to an assessment.

As an integral part of the workshop, the participants were given the opportunity to witness the AFC Champions League play-off match between Al Arabi versus Ajmak of Uzbekistan at Al Thumama Stadium. This experience allowed them to closely observe the roles of match observers, providing invaluable insights.

QFA's Competitions Department remains committed to engaging football enthusiasts and cultivating a strong foundation of Qatari youth involvement. This workshop, with its primary goal of preparing proficient Qatari personnel to bolster the support system for match coordinators and observers, stands as a testament to their ongoing efforts.
