The coaching staff of Qatar's national football team, led by Carlos Queiroz, held a meeting at Aspire with the coaches of Qatar Stars League's (QSL) first-division clubs.

Queiroz shared a detailed explanation of the strategies and plans to prepare the Qatari teams in the coming period, in addition to the role of the clubs' and the coaches in following these strategies to achieve the best outcomes.

Qatar's team will play in the qualification rounds for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2027 AFC Asian Cup. Qatar is placed in Group A with India and Kuwait as well as the winner of the match between Afghanistan and Mongolia.

The team will also compete in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup in Doha early next year, as they aim to defend their title after winning the 2019 edition that was held in the United Arab Emirates.

Qatar's Olympic team will participate in important events during the coming period as well, including the AFC U-23 Cup hosted by Doha. Qatar already qualified for the final tournament as the host country, but the team will still compete in the qualification stage in September.

The AFC U-23 Cup holds great importance as it qualifies for the football tournament in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
