Singapore - Qatar’s Esports Federation Secretary General, Mr. Faisal Khalid has been selected as a member of GEF International Relations and Development Commission on Monday , following a strategic framework agreement signed between the QESF and the GEF in Singapore.
This 10-year strategic framework agreement was attended by Sheikh Abdulla Bin Faleh Al-Thani, President of Qatar Esports Federation, Mr Chris Chan, the GEF President, Paul J. Foster, GEF CEO, Mark Chay, Executive, Community and Administration, GEF.
This partnership demonstrates Qatar’s vision to give the esports and related sectors a leading role of the country’s digital economic growth and to support sustainability of esports culture in the country.
On other hand, the QESF board member Ms. Moza Khalid Al Mohannadi is elected member of Women & Equality Committee of Arab Esports Federation (AEF) while the QESF board member, Mr. Khalifa Al Haroon was elected as a member of AEF Technical committee that during the Federation’s General Assembly meeting held recently in Saudi Arabia’s capital city of Riyadh..
A wide esports- fan base is growing rapidly in Qatar inside an integrated environment full of competitive spirit that help talented players with a clear path for professional progression to be able to represent Qatar at international levels.
