Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) President H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani attended Qatar’s match against China as the Asian Men's Handball Qualification for 33rd Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024 commenced at Al Duhail Arena yesterday.
The hosts won the match 34-25 after a fine show. The game was also attended by IHF President Dr. Hassan Mustafa, QOC Secretary General Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain and President of Qatar Handball Association Ahmed Mohammed Al Shaabi.
In other matches yesterday, Japan prevailed over Iran 25-20, Saudi Arabia defeated India 46-17, Bahrain beat Kazakhstan 46-18 and South Korea outplayed UAE 29-23.
The preliminary group matches will continue till October 24 while the semi-finals are scheduled for October 26 with final to be played on October 28.
