Qatar International Taekwondo Open Championship kicks off

The competitions of the Qatar International Taekwondo Open championship were kicked off at the Ali bin Hamad Al Attiyah Hall in Al Sadd on Saturday.

In youth category, Tunisia Ayoob bin Ghylan won the gold medal in the U-45 kg, Khaleel Al Marzooq of Kuwait seized the silver medal and Yusenbak Olidov of Uzbekistan and Iraq’s Abdulsatar Seraj shared the bronze medal

In the U-48 kg, Abdullah Essa Al Mosharaf of Saudi Arabia claimed the gold medal , while his teammate Abdulrhman Abdallah Al Shahwani took the silver medal and the bronze went to team Qatar’s Mahmoud Salman and Yemen’s Hussain Abdullah.

In U-51kg, Jordanian Jafaar Al Daoud won the gold medal, Abai Sledakhmet of uzbakistan took the silver medal and the bronze medal went to Iskander Rimzunov of Kazakistan and UAE’s Saleh Al Yahri.

In U-63kg, Mohammed Ali Al Madwi of Saudi Arabia claimed the gold medal, Algerian Haj Yousef won the silver medal and Saudi Arabia duo Faisal Al Harthi and Yousef Al Dabaq took the bronze medal.

The three-day event will feature the participation of approximately 887 male and female players, divided into 4 categories, representing 41 countries.
