Hosts Qatar defeated South Korea 39-25 to register their fourth consecutive victory in the Asian Handball Qualifiers for 2024 Paris Olympic Games at Al Duhail Indoor Hall yesterday.
Qatar, who had earlier beaten China, India and the UAE, top the Group A with eight points.
Qatar will take on Saudi Arabia, who defeated the UAE 22-21 in a thriller yesterday, in their last group match tomorrow. In the third match of the day, China beat India 46-15.
The winner of the event will qualify for the Paris Games, which will be held from July 25 to August 11, 2024. Qatar is aiming to qualify for the Olympics for the second time, after having done so at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
