Yangzhou, China- Qatar beach volleyball team of Ahmed Tijan and Cherif Younousse suffered a 2-0 defeat against Canada in the second round of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour's Yangzhou 4-star event, here on Saturday.
The duo lost 25-23, 22-20 to the Canadian pair of Sam Pedlow and Sam Schachter.
Earlier on Friday, Tijan and Younousse had recorded a 2-1 victory over China's Gao Peng and Ha Likejiang to reach the second round of the tournament. The two made a late comeback in the third set to win 21-19, 16-21, 15-10.
Top ranked teams from Italy, Belgium, Russia, Latvia, Germany, China, the Netherlands, US, Australia and Poland are taking part in the tournament.
