Al Sadd's Pedro Miguel and Youcef Atal Sidelined with Injuries Following AFC Champions League Win

Al Sadd announced on Friday that players Pedro Miguel and Algerian Youcef Atal will be sidelined due to injuries sustained during their recent match against Iran's Esteghlal in the second round of the 2024-2025 AFC Champions League Elite Stage.


In an official statement, the club confirmed that Pedro Miguel suffered a hamstring injury and will be out for up to three months. He has already undergone medical assessments and has started a rehabilitation program to aid his recovery.


The club also revealed that Youcef Atal sustained a similar hamstring injury. He is expected to be out for 6 to 8 weeks before resuming full training with the team.


Al Sadd's 2-0 victory over Esteghlal, held at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Monday, moved them up to third place in the West Zone standings of the AFC Champions League Elite Stage, with a total of 4 points.
