Doha: The National Sports Day Committee introduced the National Sports Day 2025 Award on Monday, aimed at recognizing organizations that promote sports culture among their employees.

Abdulrahman bin Musallam Al Dosari, Advisor to the Minister of Sports and Youth and National Sports Day Committee Chairperson, announced the award details during a press conference at Lusail Sports Hall. He explained that the award encourages public health and sportsmanship in Qatari society, motivating organizations to create a healthy and active work environment. This initiative organizes year-round sports activities, aligning with National Sports Day’s vision of sports as a sustainable lifestyle.

Competing organizations are required to post photos and videos of their activities on social media using the hashtags #In_Time and #Sports_Is_Life while tagging the National Sports Day account. They must also submit an event form on the Ministry of Sports and Youth website, including event details and the number of participants.

Al Dosari emphasized the importance of adhering to safety and security guidelines, including having medical teams present.

Participating organizations will be evaluated based on four criteria: the number of events held, event duration, the number of participants, and the involvement of agency staff in the Sports for All calendar.

Additionally, Abdullah Al Dosari, Director of Events and Activities at Qatar Sports For All (QSFA), highlighted the 750 free sports events offered throughout the year. He praised Qatar’s public sports infrastructure for making sports accessible to all groups, regardless of weather conditions.
