Las Vegas, USA– Qatar's beach volleyball team, consisting of Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan, suffered a straight set defeat at the hands of Italy's Daniele Lupo and Paolo Nicolai in the second round of the FIVB Las Vegas Open, yesterday.
After the the completion of the initial rounds, Brazil,
Italy, Norway, Poland, Russia, Spain and the United States secured spots into
the quarter-finals of the World Tour four-star event to be held on American soil.
The Qatari duo of Cherif Younousse and Ahmad Tijan made a great leap in the world rankings issued in October 2018.
Qatar Beach Volleyball team jumped to the 9th place with 4440 points.
