Doha, Qatar- Al Sadd travel to Tehran for their upcoming AFC Champions League semi-final second leg clash against Persepolis F.C., today.

The match will take place at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on Tuesday. Persepolis won the first leg 1-0 in Doha, courtesy to an 86th minute penalty.

Defender Ibrahim Majid joined the team’s training session on Tuesday and is expected to play in the crucial match semi-final. Ibrahim underwent treatment and recuperation under the supervision of the national team medical staff and then joined the national team camp in Doha before returning to the club for training.

He had picked up a muscle injury in the QNB Stars League Round 3 game against Al Gharafa. ‘The Wolves’ look to overcome the deficit for a place in the final and are likely to be boosted by Majid's return.

Al Sadd players are undergoing intense training and will be hoping to turn the tide in the tough away clash against an in-form Iranian side.

In the other semi-final, South Korea’s Suwon Bluewings take on Kashima Antlers of Japan at the Suwon World Cup Stadium on Wednesday. The Japanese side won the first Leg 3-2.
