QATAR TO HOST 2020 ASIA SUPERSPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP OPENER

QNA

Asian Motorcycling Federation (FIM Asia) announced Qatar as the host of the first round of the Asian Supersports Championship, which will be introduced for the first time in the 2020 season, and includes several rounds, each to be held separately in different countries of the continent.

This was decided during the three-day FIM Asia meetings hosted by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF). It was the first quarterly meeting for the members of the governing council of FIM Asia in its new form.

Many issues were discussed related to various motorcycle races, tournament schedule, and some laws and regulations, as well as work to expand the annual activities within the various federations in Asia, whether through tournaments or training programmes.

Also, the meetings dealt with the programmes of the Asian talents academy in China, which attracts riders from the 13 to 18 age group, as well as the allocation of their own three course tournament in Taiwan, Thailand, and India.
