The final round of the Hathab Equestrian Tour will begin at Al Shaqab today, and will run throughout the weekend, ending on Saturday night.
The equestrian series, which launched in 2017, has become immensely popular, and this weekend will see the winners from various categories be announced.
The weekend's various competitions will be the riders' last chance to collect points before the end of the season, in both showjumping and dressage categories.
With both the veterinarian check and the warm-up session having taken place yesterday afternoon, today will see the riders compete one round against the clock in the Small Tour (QAR 5,000), Medium Tour (QAR 10,000), and Big Tour (QAR 15,000).

@Hathab, meaning ‘Canter’ in Arabic, is an initiative launched by Qatar Olympic Committee president HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani. The series is open for Qatari nationals and also to residents of Qatar.
The event is being conducted jointly by Qatar Equestrian Federation (QEF) and Al Shaqab.
Organisers aim to improve the standard of horse riding among Qatari youths through Hathab, while also encouraging the involvement of private stables and individual horse owners to increase awareness of horsemanship as part of Qatar’s history and tradition.
