Qatar Football Association and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, jointly announced that the newly-built Al Wakrah Stadium - a FIFA World Cup 2022 tournament venue- will be inaugurated next month when it hosts the 2019 Amir Cup Final during a press conference at Al Bidda tower. The stadium was designed by AECOM and Zaha Hadid Architects. The stadium capacity is 40,000 and will be reduced to 20,000 after the World Cup, with the excess seats – from the upper tier – being donated to football development projects overseas.
Tickets for the 2019 Amir Cup are already available to buy, either online at tickets.qfa.qa or from a host of outlets across the country. Tickets are available in four categories and priced between QAR 20 and QAR 100. Tickets will remain on sale until 15th of May.
