ASPIRE’S RAMADAN SPORTS FESTIVAL BEGINS WITH THREE TOURNAMENTS

On Wednesday evening, Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) witnessed a strong start to its Aspire’s Ramadan Sports Festival tournaments, as the Men’s football and volleyball tournaments and the Ladies’ handball competition commenced.

During the very first night of the events at the Ladies Sports Hall, the Ladies’ handball competition saw Al-Adaam score 23 points against 2 for the hands up team. In addition, Al-Majed won against Al-Dana with a score of 44-14. On football pitch number 10, Baladna and Carthage Eagles ended the match 1-1. Janin Camp won against Al-Nashama with a score of 14-7. Finally, Delta and Football heroes also ended their game with a tie score of 2-2. 

The men’s volleyball competition saw successful results as Al-Sityar won with a score of 2-0 against Indian heroes. Medina Doha won against strikers with 2-0. Champions won against Kesci SC with a score of 2-0. Bench Pearls won against Volley Beast with a score of 2-0. 

The men’s volleyball and ladies handball tournaments will continue until the 12th of May. The men’s football tournament is scheduled to end on the 13th of May. The fitness challenge for boys and hockey for boys and girls will kick off on Thursday. AZF has also organised table tennis activities for the disabled in various categories for a one-day event at the 12th of May.
