Qatargas recently extended the company’s support to Qatar Golf Association’s (QGA) Junior Golf Programme. To mark the occasion, a ceremony was held at Qatargas Headquarters in Doha. During the ceremony, Ali Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, Public Relations Manager, Qatargas, received a commemorative trophy from Fahad al-Naimi, General Secretary of QGA. With a legacy of support stretching back to 2007, Qatargas is proud to be a positive force in developing the next generation of golfing talent. Qatargas’ support for QGA aims to promote golf among the local population, and its partnership with QGA over the past
12 years has yielded positive results. A large number of golfers have benefited and developed into some of the best golfers in the region, including Ali Abdulla al-Shahrani, Saleh Ali al-Kaabi, and Jaham Jassim al-Kuwari. The Junior Golf Programme encourages all junior golfers to participate in QGA’s weekly competitions. The QGA also conducts an “Order of Merit” competition that identifies the Junior Player of the Year, who will be felicitated during the Qatar Junior Open at the end of the season. Qatargas sponsors a wide range of sporting activities in alignment with the objectives of the Human Development pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
