Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) has announced various summer camps and community engagement programs in collaboration with its partners under Summer in Qatar 2019 (SiQ).
Under the program, season-long summer camps, classes and fun activities for different age groups will be held to keep kids and youth active through sports, art and science classes. The details were given by QNTC officials at a recent event.
“Paris Saint-Germain Academy Summer Camps will be held at West Bay, Al Waab and Al Wakra throughout summer from June 4 to August 16,” said Mashal Shahbik from QNTC.
She said that summer camp conducted by QNTC, Ministry of Interior’s (MoI) Sports Police Federation and Qatar Foundation will take place at Education City from June 30 to July 25, free of charge for a total of 500 children.
“Police Summer Training will be organised by Police College from June 29 to August 8. Youth Centre and Cultural Activities by Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MOCI) will take place at various malls throughout summer and Aspire Summer Camp for kids will he held from July 7 to 31,” said Shahbik.
Qatar Foundation’s Mukhayamna Summer Camps at Awsaj Academy and Qatar Academy in Al Wakra and Al Khor, Community Summer Camp at Recreation Centre in Education City and Diabetes Prevention Camp at Qatar Diabetes Association will be from June 23 to July 18.
There will also be Fusion Camps at different locations throughout summer which could be registered through www.moleculardoha.com/fusion-camps.
Qatar Museum’s Calligraphy Workshops, Treasure Hunt and Saturday Colouring at MIA will be offered throughout summer and Art Lessons and Educational Summer Camp at Mathaf in July and August.
Bayieat AlKaeak stage play from first day of Eid to June 9 and various exhibitions throughout summer will be at Katara Cultural Village. Qatar Petroleum is hosting summer camps from July 7 to August 8.
Sports events and activities include Basketball Camp Qatar with L.A. Lakers Lonzo Ball at HBKU from July 18 to 20, Campus kick off in Tawar Mall on Aug 9 and 10 and Doha Workers Cricket Cup at Messaieed Sports Club from June 15 to July 30.
Summer in Qatar 2019 programs are being implemented by QNTC in collaboration with its partners from public and private sectors including the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Ministry of Municipality and Environment, Qatar Museums, Qatar Airways, Katara Cultural Village, Qatar Foundation, Private Engineering Office and Katara Hospitality among others.
