The
President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin
Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani, has officially announced his candidacy to renew his
position at the QFA.
This came
during a Sports Clubs Council meeting held yesterday under the chairmanship of H.E.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Thani, President of Al Ahli Club.
Having held
his position since 2005, if successful during the elections on the 10th
of December the QFA’s president will enter his fourth term.
There are
four other nominees for the position, including QFA Vice-President Saoud Al Mohannadi,
along with board members Hani Ballan, Ibrahim Khalil Al-Mohannadi and Ahmad
Abdulaziz Al-Buainain.
