Qatar’s Ahmed Tijan and Sherif Younis scored their second successive victory at the four-star FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour in Warsaw, Poland, yesterday. Ahmed and Sherif registered a comfortable win over USA’s Trevor Crabb and Tri Bourne 21-16, 21-17 in a Group G clash. On Thursday, they had opened their campaign with a 24-22, 21-18 win over Slovenia’s Jan Pokersnik and Nejc Zemljak. Today, the Qatar pair will take on Russia’s Viacheslav Krasilnikov and Oleg Stoyanovskiy
The Warsaw round is a major stop in the qualifiers for the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo next year. Qatar is ranked third in the standings with 2,520 points.
